  7.  JTFAX AND QUIKBUF

  9.      Customer reports the JTFAX software and QUIKBUF2 won't work together.

  11.      If the JTFAX memory resident software and QUIKBUF2 are loaded, incoming
  12.      and outgoing FAXes are corrupted.

  18.      This printer has 3 modes - the ship configuration is Mode 1 which
  19.      doesn't work with print buffers.  Change to Mode 2 and it should work
  20.      fine.

  22.      It isn't known if all C. ITOH printers have multiple modes.

  24.  HP LASERJET PLUS AND QUIKBUF
  25.  
  26.      QUIKBUF supports the HP LaserJet Plus as a serial printer.  Use the S1
  27.      parameter.   Intel does not recommend using QUIKBUF with the parallel
  28.      port version of the LaserJet, they are very slow together.

  30.  IBM MODEL 30 AND QUIKBUF

  32.      Earlier versions of Quikbuf cause keyboard lockups in the Model 30.

  34.      EMM 4.0 Rev A diskettes or later have a new Quikbuf that eliminates
  35.      this problem.

  37.  IBM XT & 101 KEYBOARD

  39.      If the IBM-XT has an upgrade BIOS to use the 101 keyboard, the system
  40.      will lock if any other key than 1-7 (for the menu items) is pressed
  41.      when using Quikbuf.  A cold boot is then necessary.

  43.  IBM 3270 PC & QUIKBUF
  44.  
  45.      Put Quikbuf AFTER 3270 control programs in Autoexec.bat file.

  47.  IBM 5128 SERIAL PRINTER AND QUIKBUF
  48.  
  49.      This printer needs a special IBM driver for PC use.  This driver is
  50.      incompatible with most PC print buffer software including QUIKBUF.
  51.  
  52.  IBM 5250 AND QUIKBUF
  53.  
  54.      The 5250 'System 36 printer emulation' won't work with QUIKBUF
  55.      installed.

  57.  IBM EGA & QUIKBUF
  58.  
  59.      With QUIKBUF software that shipped with EMM versions earlier than 4.0,
  60.      it will be necessary to disable the QUIKBUF pop-up menu when using an
  61.      EGA Adapter.  (Put `o' in quikbuf command line.). With QUIKBUF software
  62.      that shipped with versions 4.0 and higher, a parameter was added so the
  63.      pop-up menu can be supported, (put an "e" on the command line).

  65.  IBM VGA GRAPHICS BOARD & QUIKBUF
  66.  
  67.      The IBM VGA graphics board provides the VGA graphics standard from the
  68.      PS-2 line to AT's and PC's.  For QUIKBUF software shipped with 4.0C (or
  69.      later) EMM.SYS drivers, choose the VGA option for the QUIKBUF pop-up
  70.      menu.

  72.      For older software (that doens't show a VGA option) choose the EGA
  73.      option. For the extremely old software that doesn't even have an EGA
  74.      option, choose "Other", this will allow the print buffer to work, but
  75.      there won't be access to the pop-up menu.

  77.  PLOTTERS AND QUIKBUF
  78.  
  79.      Quikbuf is designed to buffer output to conventional printers.  Because
  80.      the timing loops in plotters are so different from printers, Quikbuf is
  81.      unlikely to provide buffering to plotters.

  83.  QUADBOARD AND QUIKBUF2
  84.  
  85.      The Quadboard parallel port conflicts with the Intel Quikbuf2 print
  86.      buffer. Quikbuf2 will not work if a Quadboard is present in a system.
  87.  
  88.      This is true even if Quikbuf2 is printing through another parallel
  89.      port.
  90.  
  91.      Quadram has an expanded memory print buffer that does work with their
  92.      port and our EMM.
  93.  
  94.  SPERRY PC-PCHT & QUIKBUF
  95.  
  96.      May not be able to format diskettes when quikbuf is installed.
  97.  
  98.      We suggest that customers format several diskettes in advance so they
  99.      won't need to use the format command very often.  When they need to
  100.      format diskettes they can rename their AUTOEXEC.BAT file (this will
  101.      prevent quikbuf from being loaded), reboot their system to remove
  102.      quikbuf, format several diskettes, then change their renamed autoexec
  103.      back to its original name and boot again to return to normal operation.
  104.  
  105.  TANDY 3000 & QUIKBUF2
  106.  
  107.      Cannot format diskettes in 1.2M disk drive when QUIKBUF2 is installed.
